In December, 2016, Recovery United Pittsburgh was awarded a grant in the amount of $15,000 to help underwrite its Female Transitional Living Program in 2017. Funding for this project was provided by the Robert C. Smith and the Betsy R. Clark Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation. The grant was made as a part of The Pittsburgh Foundation’s new Small and Mighty Grants Program and represents the highest amount awarded in that new grant-making program for small nonprofits in Allegheny County.
In 2014, the Foundation and its Supporting Organizations awarded more than $50.1 Million in grants to a vast array of nonprofit organizations, students through scholarships, and medical researchers, based on donor interest and specific purposes of individual funds.
We are very grateful to the Board of Directors and the Staff Members of The Pittsburgh Foundation for this important grant. It is affirming to have this vote of confidence from such a distinguished foundation and we look forward to adding new funders in the future.
